Photos of two little African sisters with severe 'windswept legs' after undergoing successful surgery

An NGO, Africa Mercyship shared photos of two little sisters, Salamatou and Mariama after undergoing a successful surgery to correct their 'windswept' legs. The condition is an angular deformity in which the legs bend outwards from the midlife at the knee making the knees knock to each other especially when they are walking. The deformity, which looks like 'knocked knees' is caused by malnutrition, bone weakning from rickets, injury to the growing part of the bone at the knee level.
